(DAYTON, OHIO)… A winter wonderland awaits as the Heart of Centerville Washington Twp. (HOCWT) gears up for the holiday season with Uptown Holiday Walk on Sunday, Nov. 19, in Uptown Centerville.

Uptown Holiday Walk is part of the community-wide Uptown Holiday Weekend, which kicks off Friday, Nov. 17, as the city of Centerville, Washington Twp. Town Hall, and Centerville Arts Commission presents “An Uptown Holiday Concert" at Town Hall Theatre, 27 N. Main St. It features an all-local music lineup from the best local musicians. Tickets are available online for $10 each at brushfire.com/washingtontwp.

Then, the HOCWT encourages you to shop, eat, drink, invest, and support local Nov. 19 with Uptown Holiday Walk. Visit one of the many shops or restaurants offering seasonal specials from 1-5:30 p.m. in Uptown Centerville. The Heart is sponsoring a curated vendor village inside the party tent at Benham’s Grove from 1–5:30 p.m., featuring more than two dozen local businesses offering everything from handmade body care items, home décor, food, and clothing to services to help you get through the winter months ahead. Support local charities when you buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a giant raffle basket made up of local goods and gift cards valued at more than $650.

There’s more than just shopping on Nov. 19, as Washington Twp. and the Centerville-Washington Park District will be hosting children’s activities and visits with Santa Claus at Town Hall Theatre. Enjoy a free horse-drawn carriage ride at the Asahel Wright House, 26 N. Main Street, from 1 – 4 p.m., courtesy of HOCWT and Centerville-Washington History.

End the day with the grand illumination of the holiday tree during the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony at Benham’s Grove presented by Dayton Children’s Hospital. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m., and will feature performances from Anna and Elsa, the Centerville Community Band, Centerville Community Chorus and Miami Valley Dance Company. Afterward, there will be a free hour-long concert featuring Alexis Gomez, with free photo opportunities with Anna and Elsa.
