Centerville Merchant Market returns to Stubbs Park on May 17

(DAYTON, OHIO)… Centerville Merchant Market is back on Sunday, May 17 at Stubbs Park, offering the area’s largest free one-day open-air market with unique local shopping and dining opportunities.

This is the 5^th year for Centerville Merchant Market, organized by the Heart of Centerville Washington Twp. (HOCWT) business association and the city of Centerville. The market is returning to Stubbs Park, 255 W. Spring Valley Pike, after spending two years on the lawn at St. Leonard while the park underwent renovations. Some changes during that time included adding more vendors, a kids zone, and “husband daycare” seating area—additions which will remain in the new event layout in “the bowl” grassy field near the amphitheater at Stubbs Park, said Jessica Olson, marketing director for HOCWT.

“We’ve learned how to make this market a fun experience for the whole family while supporting local businesses,” Olson said. “Kids can play in our free bubble zone and enjoy games while dad lounges in a shaded chair watching the football game, and mom gets to shop with all the local boutiques. We bring the best parts of our community together for an experience unlike any other market.”

Centerville Merchant Market runs from 12-5pm on Sunday, May 17. This one-day pop-up shopping and dining event gathers in-demand, majority women-owned businesses for a fun, upscale shopping experience featuring one-of-a-kind treasures, vintage finds, furniture, boutique clothing, jewelry, home décor, handmade items, food, beer and wine sales from local breweries, plus live entertainment. Shoppers can also snag a free shopping bag—100 of which are pre-stuffed with swag from local businesses—and enter to win free raffle prizes.

There’s no ticket required, and parking is also free at the event. Merchant Market is also dog-friendly! A portion of alcohol sales will be donated by HOCWT to local charities.
