Stranger coming to Stubbs Park for summer’s first Party in the Park event

(CENTERVILLE, OHIO)… The city of Centerville will kick off the summer season with its first Party in the Park event on June 10, 2022, featuring the band Stranger at Stubbs Park.

Party in the Park, sponsored by the city of Centerville, Heart of Centerville Washington Twp. (HOCWT) business association, Centerville-Washington History, and Centerville-Washington Park District, is a family-friendly, one-day concert, shopping, and dining experience in the picturesque Stubbs Park amphitheater. This year’s event will be larger, opening at 6 p.m. for shopping with more than 30 curated vendors, boutiques, and area small businesses offering a unique variety of items for purchase, along with dining from select food trucks. HOCWT will provide beer, wine, and liquor sales from local Heavier Than Air, Loose Ends, and Bock Family breweries. Meanwhile, Centerville-Washington History will facilitate card games and other games of chance, and the Centerville Noon Optimist Club will sponsor the Big 6 Wheel game table. The Centerville-Washington Park District will provide kids activities. The event will conclude with the showing of the movie Jumanji beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. The first 100 event attendees will receive a free HOCWT canvas tote bag to help carry all of their treasures home.

Thousands of people are expected to attend Party in the Park, and Centerville Police will be directing parking efforts within the park itself as well as at the nearby library and police station. Participants are encouraged to get to the park early and bring their lawn chair to save a seat for the Strangers concert and movie.

A second Party in the Park concert, shopping, and dining event is planned for Friday, July 15, and will feature The Fries. More information on these events can be found at www.hocwt.org.
