Party in the Park featuring the band The Naked Karate Girls is June 9!

(CENTERVILLE, OHIO)… Enjoy a free rock concert while sampling some of the area’s best food trucks, shopping, kids activities, local beer & cocktail sales, and more during the Heart of Centerville Washington Twp.’s (HOCWT) first Party in the Park event of the summer this Friday, June 9, from 5-9 p.m. at Stubbs Park in Centerville.

While they are all men and fully clothed, The Naked Karate Girls are a wildly popular rock band with a strong following in the greater Cincinnati area. They will perform for free at the Stubbs Park amphitheater thanks to a partnership between HOCWT and the city of Centerville in addition to the generous sponsorship of Loose Ends Brewing Company, Dayton Children’s Hospital, Greater Dayton RTA, Kroger, and David’s Cemetery. Friday’s Party in the Park event features more food trucks, vendors, and a larger footprint than past events, with activities starting at 5 p.m. Participants can shop with more than 30 curated vendors, boutiques, and area small businesses offering a unique variety of items for purchase. In addition, there will be nine food trucks, and Claybourne Grill will be serving food from the park concession stand, guaranteeing participants delicious food options without long waits. The first 100 shoppers to arrive at the park will receive a free canvas shopping bag to tote home all their purchases.

HOCWT will provide beer, wine, and cocktails from Heavier Than Air, Loose Ends, Bock Family, and Lock 27 breweries. Maverick Mixers has created a cocktail menu for the event, and they syrups will also be available for purchase to remake beverages at home.

Thousands of people attended HOCWT’s Party in the Park events last year, and more are expected this Friday with fabulous weather ahead. Centerville Police will be directing parking efforts within the park itself as well as at the nearby library and police station. Participants are encouraged to use the entrance at Spring Valley Pike and get to the park early, as well as bring their lawn chair to save a seat for The Naked Karate Girls and all the free Friday fun ahead.
